Japan Trip 2013 Part 4

Disclaimer: I am not bragging at all, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and as I was in year 11 at the time, I had no other chance to go on an experience like this. This will be split into parts so they aren't as long so I hope you don't mind and hopefully I give you ideas on where to go in Japan if you are planning to go one day. Also some photos are taken on my iPod and some on my camera which is a Canon 600D SLR as well as other people from the trip's. Enjoy :)

This is Part 4, if you want to know what I did before this check out Part 1, Part 2 & Part 3, and you shall be flown there ;)

I am back for another installment, WOOO!

Day 10:
We were finally back with the whole gang, and it was nice. We were off to another school just for the day, and it is the school we skype with. We caught a train to Wakayama and then walked to the school. When we got there it was so different from the other school plus when we saw the kids they were much older than our host school. No offence to them plus their floor was bouncy.

When we got there they performed for us with a dance and then we were really lucky as we didn't have to perform Possum Magic. Next we played games with some of the students, and then sung some songs which was interesting. Everyone then got split into groups and did some activities including origami and more games. We then had some lunch which I had chicken something. They had lunch in a cafeteria which was pretty awesome.

After lunch we played dodge ball and me being me, clumsy of course, twisted my ankle. But luckily it was only small injury. It was the end of the day and we headed back to Osaka and then to Nara for dinner. Again you guessed I had Starbucks, the usual and McDonalds for dinner. Josh and I then went off to a hat shop which is the most amazing place ever and brought some hats. Well I brought a black one and he brought  3 more.

Here is the picture with one the black ones being mine and the rest Josh's.
Mad Hatter
Headed back tot he hotel where I literally collapsed as I was so tired.

Day 11:

Today we were more like tourists, as we were off to Kyoto. Breakfast was various food then ice cream, yes they had ice cream for breakfast. It was an early start as we were on the shinkansen to Kyoto. We waited for our tour guide which didn't turn up as they got stuff wrong so we went back into Kyoto station which was very fancy. We ate donuts and went up to the roof top for the view and to chill until the tour guide and bus turned up eventually.

Kyoto station, very fancy

Roof top view
Our tour guide finally came and we were off. First stop was Kinkakuji or better known as the Golden Pavillion. I was going to be the third generation of my family to go as my mum and grandma had been when they went on a cruise or something.
But well it is very GOLD!

Yeah very tourist here

It is gorgeous and huge. We walked around then went off to Kimizudera Shrine and Heian Shrine. Again amazing and very orange.

There was a very cute garden area at the Heian Shrine which was beautiful.

TURTLES
We then headed to Sanjusangendo Hall where there was a heap of statues like thousands. It was amazing, some were fixed up but they were just mind blowing.

I cannot remember what we had for lunch or dinner. So I think I will end this day and head to Day 12, sorry.

Day 12:
Again ice cream for breakfast plus bacon and egg don't worry. We were off to Nara where there were deer, yes deer. We headed onto the train. When we got to Nara there was a cute little bakery where you chose your food and then went to the cashier. So we all stock up with food and drink and headed off to the park for a look at Tadaiji Temple and lunch plus deer.

Hello little deer

This one ate the chain after taking this photo

The deer kept following us as we had food and also one of our teachers was frightened of the deer. SO of course at lunch one of the students, John  got some of the deer to come towards us with chips, and she literally jumped up and ran.

After a lovely picnic like lunch and trying not to get the deer to get our food we headed to Umeda to shop and look around. I really didn't like it there, the shops were all expensive shops and there wasn't much to look at. We were going to originally have dinner there but Josh and I plus other people persuaded the teachers to go to Nara for dinner.

Josh and I had the usual, Maccas and Starbucks plus a bit of shopping. I got a Beatles and basketball type top from Forever 21 and a black collared shirt from H&M. It was some good shopping.
Headed back home for our second last night in Japan.

There we go, Part 4, only one more part to go and it is over. I wish I did this sooner as I am pretty vague now, starting to forget the finer details, sorry but I can still tell you parts of what we did. Have no idea when Part 5 will come out, but it will be soon hopefully.
